Challenge St. Helens is an exciting family event for the people of St. Helens, now in its second year, it is scheduled to take place on the 20th September 2009 in and around St. Helens Town Centre.
2000 runners of mixed ability will take part in either the 5 Kilometre Race of the 1 Kilometre Family Fun Run. There will be an assortment or health related attractions around Victoria Square in front of the Town Hall where both races will Start and Finish.
The event aims to raise money to support three deserving charities, namely Macmillan Cancer Support, Willowbrook Hospice and Claire House Children's Hospice. Participants can choose the charity they wish to run for and any sponsorship money they raise will go directly to their chosen charity.
