Willowbrook Hospice

Willowbrook Hospice cares for people over eighteen years of age with life-limiting illnesses living in the St Helens and Knowsley area.

As a Charity, we make no charge for our services, but rely on our own fundraising efforts and a modest contribution from the NHS. This enables us to provide support to patients and their families according to their individual needs.

Since the Hospice opened 10 years ago, we have cared for over 3500 patients. During that time our services have grown so much that we now receive approximately 850 patient referrals a year.

Macmillan Cancer Research

Macmillan Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. One in three of us will get cancer. We are all affected by cancer. We can all help. We are Macmillan.

We are a source of support, helping with all the things that people affected by cancer want and need. It's not only patients who live with cancer, so we also help carers, families and communities. We guide people through the system, supporting them every step of the way. We fund nurses and other specialist health care professionals and build cancer care centres. But we give so much more than medical help.

People need practical support at home, so we provide anything from some precious time off for a carer, to a lift to hospital. People need emotional support, so we listen, advise and share information though our CancerLine, website, support groups and trained professionals. People need financial help to cope with the extra costs cancer can bring, so we give benefits advice, and grants for anything from heating bills to travel costs. Together we listen, we learn, we act to help people live with cancer.

Claire House Children's Hospice

Claire House opened its doors to children in December 1998 providing a service for children aged 0 - 23 years with life threatening or life limiting conditions and their families from Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and the Isle of Man.

Since 1998, Claire House has gone from strength to strength and is now providing leadership and focus for its many children, families and staff and also for supporters. In 2006 we opened a teenage extension which provides the facilities for young people. We now provide care for over 200 families across the UK.
