Unfortunately, due to lack of sponsorship Challenge St. Helens 2009 has been cancelled. The Challenge St. Helens team are looking to ensure this event continues in future and welcome any contact from any companies wishing to discuss sponsorship of Challenge St. Helens 2010.

All participants who have registered for the 2009 event have been refunded in full as of June 10th.

Challenge St. Helens is an exciting family event for the people of St. Helens. 2000 runners of mixed ability will take part in either the 5 Kilometre Race of the 1 Kilometre Family Fun Run. There will be an assortment or health related attractions around Victoria Square in front of the Town Hall where both races will Start and Finish.

The event aims to raise money to support three deserving charities, namely Macmillan Cancer Support, Willowbrook Hospice and Claire House Children's Hospice whilst promoting the adoption of a healthy lifestyle amongst the residents of St. Helens and surrounding areas. Participants can choose the charity they wish to run for and any sponsorship money they raise will go directly to their chosen charity.
